This Privacy Policy explains how Forma, a fitness app by JTH Ventures, handles personal data and health-related data. Forma helps you train, log nutrition, check in weekly, and adjust your plan with coaching support. It is not medical advice.

1. What data Forma processes

• Profile & goals: name, weight, height, training preferences, injuries, dream physique / North Star, and macro targets.
• Training: routines, live sessions, sets/reps/weight, history, and CSV imports (e.g. Hevy / FitNotes).
• Nutrition: food logs, barcodes, saved meals, custom foods, and optional meal photo / text description for AI logging.
• Progress: weekly check-ins, progress photos (front/side/back), body composition estimates, and trends.
• Coach: chat messages and structured app context when you use Forma Coach or weekly AI reports.
• Wearables (Android): Health Connect data you permit (e.g. steps, sleep, heart rate, active calories) as a local snapshot.
• Device permissions: camera (barcodes / photos), photo library, and optional notifications (e.g. check-in reminders).

2. Where data is stored

In the current version, workouts, nutrition, profile data, check-ins, and photos are stored locally on your device. There is no Forma account and no cloud backup of your logbook.

3. AI and third parties

When you use AI features (coach chat, weekly report, check-in photo analysis, meal scan / describe), Forma sends relevant text context and, for vision features, selected images to the Forma AI server (hosted on Render). Processing may use external providers such as Groq (text) and Google Gemini (vision). Those providers may process data outside the EU (including the United States).

Nutrition lookups may use Open Food Facts and NEVO (via our server). Health Connect data stays as a local snapshot on your device; it is not uploaded as a full export. Derived insights you choose to use in coaching may be included in AI context you trigger.

We do not sell your personal data for advertising. AI is used to provide app functionality you request.

4. Why we use this data

Only to run Forma: logging, weekly check-ins, progress trends, and coaching suggestions you can apply or ignore. Photo analysis supports physique / progress feedback — not diagnosis or treatment.

5. Retention

Local app data stays on your device until you wipe it in the app or uninstall Forma. AI requests and server logs are kept as short as reasonably possible. Production logs should not store full photo payloads (base64 images).

6. Your rights

In the app, open Privacy & data to wipe all local Forma data on that device (workouts, nutrition, check-ins, photos, coach chat, and profile). Because there is no account, there is no separate cloud user database to delete. Contact us at info@jthventures.nl for questions about access, correction, or deletion.

7. Children

Forma is not intended for children under 16.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when Forma or its data processing changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
